Pump Dimensions: 9"L x 6.75"W x 4"H
|The pump is a magnetically driven centrifugal water pump. It has no seals to wear and contains no oil. The pump can be used submerged or inline. Inline means connections are made directly to the pump inlet and outlet ports, which have 1¼" NPT intake and 1¾" outlet threads. All electrical components are encapsulated in epoxy with no seals to wear or break. The prefilter screen is provided for use in situations where deposits in the water could clog or damage the pump. This helps give uninterrupted service.|
The housing should occasionally be removed to clean and inspect the impeller assembly. The impeller is the only serviceable item and can be pulled out of the body. Do not take the impeller apart. If it is worn or broken the entire impeller assembly should be replaced. This will restore the pump to original capacity. Pumps taken out of service for an extended period with fluid inside run the risk of forming a crust which may prevent subsequent starting. Saltwater should be flushed out with fresh water. Always check cord for sharp bends which can cause premature cracking. Do not use power cord to lift or move pump.
Always use a properly grounded outlet. Do not immerse plug in water. DO NOT REACH INTO WATER TO REMOVE PLUG. TURN OFF CIRCUIT FIRST. A “drip loop” should be provided. The “drip loop” is a loop in the cord below the level of the receptacle or plug that prevents water from traveling along the cord. The National Electric Code requires that a ground fault circuit interrupter (GFCI) be installed in the branch circuit supplying fountain or pond equipment. Your dealer can supply GFCI units.
NEVER REMOVE GROUND PIN FROM PLUG.
WARNING: FOR YOUR PROTECTION ALWAYS UNPLUG THE UNIT FROM ITS POWER SOURCE BEFORE INSTALLING OR SERVICING. SHOULD THE UNIT APPEAR TO BE NOT WORKING DO NOT REACH, REMOVE OR DISASSEMBLE UNIT BEFORE YOU DISCONNECT POWER.
The pump is intended to pump water only. It cannot be used to pump oils, solvents, or gasoline.
IMPORTANT: FOR PUMPS USED IN SALTWATER OR HARDWATER APPLICATIONS THE MAGNETIC IMPELLER ASSEMBLY MUST BE REMOVED APPOXIMATELY EVERY 6 WEEKS IN ORDER TO REMOVE CALCIUM AND MINERAL DEPOSITS BY USING THE FOLLING PROCEDURE:
•DISASSEMBLE THE IMPELLER ASSEMBLY REMOVING ONE END CAP (YOU MAY NEED TO PULL WITH SOME FORCE) AND AND SLIDE THE MAGNET BODY OFF THE SHAFT. (NOTE THE POSITION OF ANY WASHERS USED BEHIND THE END CAPS.)
•SOAK THE SHAFT AND MAGNET BODY IN A BATH OF UNDILUTED WHITE VINEGAR FOR A MINIMUM OF 8 HOURS OR OVER NIGHT. (NOTE: KEEPING A SPARE IMPELLER TO "SWITCH OFF" WHILE CLEANING THE CURRENT IMPELLER, ,WILL AVOID SHUTTING DOWN YOUR SYSTEM FOR 8 HOURS.)
•SCRUB BOTH PIECES. GENTLY, WITH A TOOTH BRUSH UNDER RUNNING WATER TO CLEAN OFF ANY CALCIUM OR SCALE ACCRETIONS WHICH MAY HAVE ACCUMULATED, CHECK ALL PARTS FOR UNEVEN WEAR OR DAMAGE.
•REASSEMBLE PARTS (TAKING CARE TO REPLACE THE NYLON WASHERS,) RE-INSERT IMPELLER ASSEMBLY, REPLACE COVER, "O" RING AND SCREWS.

General Info for Danner Pumps:
Supreme Mag-Drive Pumps have been designed and manufactured using the latest developments in magnetic technology. The pump consists of a power unit encased in water-proof epoxy which creates a magnetic field. This drives a powerful magnetic ceramic impeller, the only moving part, which makes it extremely energy efficient (over 50% savings compared to equivalent conventional pumps). These fish-safe magnetic pumps are virtually maintenance free with no seals to wear out. Sturdy construction from environmentally friendly plastic materials allow submerged operation in freshwater or saltwater.
There are three low capacity models (65, 80 and 140 gph) designed for statuary and small fountains. The Models 250, 350, 500, 700, 950, 1200, 1800, 2400 and 3600 can be used to power external biological filtering systems, waterfalls and large fountain heads. These pond pumps feature an extra long 18 ft. power cord. The 250, 350, 500 and 700 come packaged with a free foam pre-filter, while the larger models have a screen to protect the intake.
